Ben von Tanner is a gorgeous 3 month old coated German Shepherd puppy. (we think he's all shepherd but no guarantees) He's absolutely enchanting, he already has his foster mom wrapped around his little paws. She calls him "Gentle Ben". His adoption fee is $450.
Per his foster mom:
When we first met this handsome pup, he approached and sat right in front of us, patiently waiting to be petted.  We immediately dubbed him "Gentle Ben."  Besides sitting on command, he knows how to give us his paw and is learning quickly that outdoors is the place to "potty."   Ben's exuberance is apparent during play dates with other dogs, yet he is nonchalant when he passes within inches of our cat.  At the outset he did not know what to do with doggy toys nor how to climb stairs; he was anxious and whined during one of his first car rides.  However, perhaps unique to Gentle Ben, 10 minutes into a new experience becomes a "been there, done that" to him and he becomes completely comfortable.  He loves his favorite imaginary playmate -- his own reflection in the mirror -- at whom he barks playfully.  This macho guy is all shepherd:  confident and proud, yet content to snuggle with you on the couch while you read the morning paper.  He will be a big guy when he matures -- probably 80+ pounds.
